Well, here we are.
The final week of an undefeated regular season and a trip to Berks Catholic. The Section 2 championship is on the line. And a wealth of bragging rights.
The media coverage both traditional, like print and radio, and more extemporaneous like social will provide features, insights, and perspectives. It should be, and is, fun.
And here’s my take: it’s your perspective that matters. The significance of this game can be measured best by your passion and pride. This is what high school sports, and football particularly, is all about. Revel in it. Be passionate. Be loud and proud. Be positive and, most of all, be a sportsman. No cursing. No malicious comments. No bringing up past glory. Take the high road, folks.
35 Years? Seriously, 35 Years?
Since the Spartans clinched the 1984 I-C Championship
That’s Spartan halfback Chris Raab carrying the ball and guard Brent Auge delivering a great block. You may know Brent from his stellar work on the visitor’s sideline as part of our “often imitated, never duplicated All American Chain Gang”. Sadly, Brent thought his fifteen minutes of fame would not involve sporting a neon t-shirt and holding a stick.
